$$ matters...

Things to budget for in the coming year:
- second hand car. Manual, preferably with 5 years left on the coe
- house + reno and moving
- alienware m18x / gaming laptop
- overseas trips. Non work related ones. Thailand, France.

I'm really not high maintenance. Lol...
Life is just catching up with me.

confused fish

I’ve been feeling kinda confused today. I was taking a shower in the ubiquitous hotel toilet and I suddenly couldn’t remember where I was.
I travel a fair amount, and when I’m sleepy, I tend to be very  blur.
I was like… am I in Philippines? (which I’ve never been to) Indonesia? Malaysia???  -pause to think- oh I’m in Thailand.
Given the price of air tickets, and the mobility of the population now, everywhere feels like everywhere. Architecture only varies so much.
Had a ton of food today, I’m gonna return to Singapore on Wednesday a certified baby elephant. But food here is so goot. (just like frootdealer’s froot)

How do you make someone confess. This is something I have been pondering over the course of the day.
Sometimes, a person can be so deluded, can have convinced him/herself so totally, that they see their lies as the truth.
I’d like to bash a few people in the face with lists and paragraphs detailing why they’re wrong, but I know I’ll just see defiance and that closed off expression, with shutters across their eyes.
I’m good at giving my mum advice, but like her, I’m bad at taking my own/good advice.
Sometimes, you just have to let people make their own mistakes. Cos, it’s their life. I know that it’s only possible if you don’t give a damn about the person, or if you don’t give a damn about the subject matter.
But it isn’t right to feel guilty for not being able to steer someone off the wrong track.

the sudden sPike

so this 2899 (and counting) page view spike comes in the wake of an article on Yahoo!.

Even HWZ has picked up on our news - I just posted a thank you note there. my Maiden Post at that! http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/showthread.php?p=54873724#post54873724

I'm finding this particularly interesting because all along, we've received more support and more coverage in other parts of SEA, EU, and to some extent US. In fact, our clan originates from the US, and all the monetary/product support filters down to us from the land of the free.
I can't ever say that we were supported in our home land... ever. In fact, I'd say we were attacked more than we were defended.
We've had plenty of chances to examine the gaming scene of our closest neighbour, Malaysia, which has a really vibrant community that supports their gamers wholeheartedly. It makes me jealous sometimes, that a team can be cheered on simply because they share the same nationality as their audience.
I'm past hoping that this will change, we'll still be dissed, and I'll still have fun reading and replying to comments about my team and I. hehheh.
Oh, I have to say that I love our supporters from the Philippines. They're all so passionate and warm!
